The following proposal and itinerary will outline all the major points, as well as providing a specific itinerary for your students visit to China.

 

Program Details:

 

The proposed travel program is a 16 day program that consists of high quality Hutong Hotel accommodation, intensive mandarin classes and fully serviced trips to local tourist attractions.  The accommodation will be in the beautiful AndingMen courtyard hotel (depending on availability) central to local attractions.  Chinese classes will take place for 2 1/2 hours per day from Monday to Friday.  Local attractions will be visited in one large group in an event format to maximize cultural exposure.  This program is designed for groups of a minimum of 10 students, regardless of their age.  Students should choose flights that have them arriving in Beijing before 2pm on Day 1.  Day 1 to be determined at a later date.

 

Program Goals:

 

1.     To provide a rewarding educational trip to China that provides safety as well as maximizing the amount of learning and experiences in a short time frame.

2.     To instill real life Chinese language skills into the students that will prove to be useful in later travels and studies.

3.     To create lasting friendships between the guests and people they come in contact in China.

Day 1

(Saturday)

15:00 - 17:00pm

Arrival and Orientation Session

l  Students will be greeted at the airport and driven to the greeting hall at the Andingmen courtyard hotel.

l  Staff will welcome students at the hall for a catered meet & greet event.

l  Staff will give a presentation on the program for the next 2 weeks as well as etiquette for living in China.

 

Day 2

(Sunday)

Orientation and Rest Day

l  A chance for the students to relax and get over any jet-lack from their travel to China, plus prepare for their busy schedule ahead.

l  Students may have a look around the local area, do shopping, etc.

Day 3-7

(Mon-Fri)

09:15 -11:45am

Intensive Chinese Language Classes

l  Students will be assessed and divided into groups of 5 based on language levels.

l  Students will be in a small language-learning environment being and be taught by professional Chinese language teachers.

l  Students will be picked up and dropped off by bus to the language center each day.

Day 8

(Saturday)

09:00 - 17:30pm

Day Trip to the Great Wall

l  Students will be picked up at the courtyard where they will be put on a bus, and driven to the Great Wall.

 

Day 9

(Sunday)

09:30 -16:00pm

Day Trip to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

l  Students will be picked up at the courtyard where they will be put on a bus, and driven to the East Gate of the Forbidden City where they will be free to tour in small groups until 12:00pm.

l  Following lunch the students will be taken on a walking tour of Tiananmen Square and the surrounding area.

Day 10-14

(Mon-Fri)

Intensive Chinese Language Classes

l  Students will review language they have heard throughout the city so far on this trip.

l  Continuation of intensive language classes.

Day 15

(Saturday)

Local Travel Day

l  Selected Chinese families, young professionals, or businesses will host the visiting students (depending on student’s ages) and travel to selected scenic spots or businesses throughout the city. The itinerary will be decided by the individual families or host business.

Day 16

(Sunday)

Departure

l  Students will meet at the greeting hall for the farewell ceremony.

l  Students will be given time to spend with their Chinese peers to exchange contact details and develop relationships.

l  Students will be driven by bus to the airport for departure to their home countries.

 

Pricing Details:

 

n  Total costs for this program will be RMB 9,950 CNY per student (based on a minimum of 10 students).

n  This includes all domestic transportation (for activities listed in itinerary), accommodation and tuition expenses.

Notes:

 

·          The Itinerary is based on the Arrival Date (Day 1) being a Saturday and the Departure Date (Day 16) being a Sunday. This allows the Intensive Chinese Language Classes to be held Monday-Friday, with the major sightseeing activities being on weekends, for greater efficiency of the program.

·          Any Non-Chinese currency amounts listed are approximate conversions based on the exchange rate of the date calculated and are subject to change without notice depending on currency market fluctuations.

·          All invoices will be quoted and paid in CNY RMB or converted to the correct Chinese currency amount upon payment.
