About the College
Seattle Central offers a college transfer program, over 30 workforce education (job training) programs, and a large international education program. It is also among the top five in the state to transfer students to the University of Washington, and other four-year colleges. It also features programs in well-paying, high-demand fields such as Biotechnology, Nursing, Commercial Photography, Information Technology and Wireless Telecommunications.
Seattle Central Community College has 10,000 American students (approximately 600 international students). Most of our college level international students are in the College Transfer program. After completing a two year Bachelor of Arts/Sciences degree with good grades, they are able to transfer to universities in junior (third year) standing. Our students have transferred to universities all over the country such as Boston University, University of California -San Francisco, University of Arizona, UCLA, Michigan State University, University of Oregon, and, of course, the University of Washington.

Benefits of Studying at Community College
An article in U.S. News and World Report noted that the majority of American students who are studying for a bachelor's degree complete the first two years at a community college and then transfer to the university for the last two years.

Offers over 30 programs
For students who are not interested in a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree, Seattle Central offers workforce training programs in over 30 professions such as Nursing, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Graphic Design and Illustration, Graphic Imaging and Printing Technology, Commercial Photography, Culinary Arts, or Apparel Design.
